Our Beginner's Bath Bomb Making Kit – Small has been designed to give you everything you need to make your own colourful, fragrant and fizzing bath bombs at home.

With enough ingredients to make 5 batches of bath bombs, with approximately 10 bath bombs per batch, this kit is a great way to learn the basics without having to purchase all the individual ingredients separately.

You'll receive your bath bomb ingredients, a 5.5cm bath bomb mould, disposable gloves, heat shrink bags, two fragrance oils and colourants, along with a beginner's guide containing the recipe, step-by-step instructions and helpful troubleshooting tips.

Whether you're completely new to bath bomb making or simply looking for a fun creative project, this kit makes it easy to mix, mould, dry and package your own handmade bath bombs.

  • 1.8kg × Sodium Bicarbonate

  • 900g × Anhydrous Citric Acid

  • 30g × Kaolin Clay

  • 15ml × Polysorbate 80

  • 2 × 30ml Fragrance Oils

  • 10g × Neon Pigment Colour Powder

  • 1 × Water-Soluble Dye

  • 30ml × Sweet Almond Oil or Coconut Oil

  • 100ml × Isopropanol Alcohol

  • 45g × Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA)

Also included: a beginner's bath bomb making guide with the recipe, step-by-step instructions and troubleshooting advice.

Kit yield: Enough ingredients for 5 batches, with approximately 10 bath bombs per batch.

How to Make

Combine and mix the ingredients according to the instructions supplied with your kit, then press the mixture into the bath bomb mould.

The supplied guide recommends allowing approximately 12 hours drying time.

Once completely dry, your bath bombs can be wrapped using the included heat shrink bags.

The supplied recipe is a starting guide, and ingredient quantities may need to be adjusted depending on your environment and mixture consistency.

What's in the Recipe

Sodium Bicarbonate

The alkali component that combines with citric acid and water to create the fizzing reaction.

Anhydrous Citric Acid

The acidic component that reacts with sodium bicarbonate when the bath bomb is added to water.

Kaolin Clay

Helps harden the bath bomb once dry.

Polysorbate 80

Helps the oils in the bath bomb combine with the bath water and helps prevent an oil slick from forming on the surface.

Fragrance Oil

Adds fragrance to your finished bath bombs.

Neon Pigment Colour Powder

Adds bright colour to your bath bombs.

Water-Soluble Dye

Adds colour to the bath water.

Sweet Almond Oil or Coconut Oil

Helps with the shape and structure of the bath bomb.

Isopropanol Alcohol

Helps bind the bath bomb mixture together.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA)

Helps create foam in the bath water.
